How do I get my partner's ring size without them knowing?

If possible, try to sneak a ring they often wear to our store for us to measure. If that’s not possible, use your finger as a reference to see where one of their rings falls.

How should I get my finger sized?

Please stop in our store. It only takes a few minutes to get sized.

I just got my ring but it doesn't fit! What do I do?

We know how exciting new pieces are!  We try our very best to get your new ring sized and back on your finger the same day!

What metals do you work with?

We work with sterling silver, platinum, and gold.

Which metal is best?

What is right for one person may not be right for another. The best type of metal for a jewelry piece ultimately comes down to the person wearing it and the function. Our team would be happy to discuss the metal options for your next jewelry piece!

What can I do with my old jewelry?

Repurpose it! We can help you turn unworn jewelry into something you will treasure for years to come.

What is rhodium plating?

Rhodium is a precious metal in the platinum family. It is used as a finishing step for white gold and some sterling silver to brighten appearance and prevent scratches.

Why is my silver jewelry changing colors?

Silver reacts with oxygen and will tarnish over time. Storing your pieces in a cool, dark place will slow down this natural process. Tarnish is easily removed with polishing.

How should I clean my jewelry?

We recommend bringing your jewelry into our store every six months to have your jewelry checked, stones tightened, and professionally cleaned.

What is the difference between karat and carat?

Will you set a diamond or gemstone I purchase elsewhere?

What is a synthetic gemstone?

A synthetic gem is a man-made material with essentially the same chemical composition, crystal structure and optical and physical properties as the natural gem material. They are made in a laboratory Instead of nature.

Do you do custom work?

How much does it cost to go custom?

Every custom design is different, therefore every custom price is different. There is no set fee.

How does the custom design process work?

Our staff works with the customer to get an overall idea for what the customer has in mind. For complex designs, we will create a CAD rendering and a wax model for approval. Next, a mold is made and then a casting in the metal of choice. The piece is then finished by hand by one of our master jewelers.

How long does it take to make a custom design?

Approximately 3-4 weeks

Can I provide my own diamonds or colored stones?

Of course. We love to repurpose!

Can I make revisions to my custom design?

Yes! That is the beauty of CAD imaging and wax models - changes can be made to the design before casting.

What are the custom design terms?

Jewelers Trade Shop will always do everything we can to make sure you are completely satisfied with any service or product we provide.

Can I customize a piece I found on your website? What about a ring I found elsewhere?

Yes, our jewelers are truly artists and can often make changes to pieces found on our website and in our store.
