2007 Saenger Theatre Ornament

2007 Saenger Theatre Ornament

For more than 80 years, The Saenger Theatre has reigned supreme as the Grand Dame of Palafox Place. Opening its doors in 1925, the Saenger hosted a colorful array of Vaudeville-type road shows, Broadway plays, and silent screen classics. Through a joint effort by the city of Pensacola and the University of West Florida, the theatre was restored and returned to its standing as a center for the performing arts and today is listed in the National Register of Historic Sites. Currently closed for the most extensive renovation in its history, the Saenger will reopen in 2008 and return to its place as the crown jewel of downtown Pensacola.

Jewelers Trade Shop is proud to offer a sterling silver, hand-crafted, numbered ornament specially designed to highlight the Saenger Theatre. This ornament, created in 2007, is the second in a series of Pensacola landmark ornaments to be released each holiday season.
