2013 Pensacola Beach Ball Ornament

Located near the Gulfside Pavilion at Casino Beach, the Pensacola Beach Ball Water Tower is one of the most photographed symbols on the beach. Standing a sturdy 130 feet tall the water tower avoided demolishment in a 5-1 vote in March of 2005. After years of weather distress the iconic ball received a fresh coat of paint in 2012 and is once again the bright center beacon of Pensacola Beach. Beach goers are often captured taking pictures standing below the tower with the hands above their heads, as if they are holding up the globe. Today the water tower is owned by The Island Authority; and even though not in use, it remains a city treasure.
